Micah 7:18-20

I will be honest here...I've never spent a lot of time in the Old Testament. Other than the Bible stories we all hear and learn as kids, I get easily confused and bored by the language and lists of names. However, in reading today's promises I feel absolutely no confusion, but rather pure joy! God has AGAIN promised not hold onto anger and instead erase all our iniquities. It's awesome to me that just five days in to studying His promises, I have seen this same promise over and over again. Something tells me that He really means it and means for me to hear that.

On top of promising yet again to be completely forgiving, God also promises to have COMPASSION on us; to be LOYAL and FAITHFUL in his LOVE. It is the same promise He gave to Abraham and Jacob all those years ago. How cool (and humbling) that God would consider me on the same playing field as these Bible rockstars, enough to offer me the same promises. Whew. Just let that sink in for a moment. The Lord...The creator of ALL things...considers you just as worthy as those who paved the way for His glory to receive the same promise of forgiveness and never-ending love.
