On January 12th, 2017 I decided to make a huge change in my life and commitment to eating and living well. I did this for multiple reasons. I weighed the most I have ever had, I wasn't confident in myself, I was tired all the time, I felt backed up and bloated constantly, my anxiety was heightening and the chronic pain of endometriosis was becoming too much again. To be fair, I just recently had a baby, so I still had baby weight and still hadn't slept a whole night since August. But I wanted something different for my life. I wanted to look and feel better. More than anything I wanted to be healthy.

So, I took the plunge and essentially became a vegan. I gave up eating meat and almost all animal products. I started exercising at least four times a week. I started meal planning and prepping on the weekends. Four months later I had lost 15 pounds, was down two pant sizes, felt more energized, my digestive system feels MUCH better, my anxiety is at bay, I haven't had any pain for a while, and most importantly, I'm HAPPY.

I feel better. I feel healthy. I feel confident.

I have come to truly believe that if you do good to your body, it will do good back to you. The hardest part was starting this lifestyle change and developing a plan to stick with it. It's taken a lot of creativity, effort and time into learning a new way of eating and living. But for me, it's been completely worth it.

I have developed an absolute passion for eating and living well. I am now trying to share this passion with others embarking on their own journey of wellness. On the blog, I will share vegan meals my family has tried and loved!
